Stefi Cohen

Stefi Cohen Co-Owner of HPM, 25X World Record Holder, Doctorate in Physical Therapy.

Training with Stefi is a luxury only a few can enjoy!

Stefi has an extensive list of achievements in the athletic field but she is also very well accomplished in the academic field. Not only is Stefi a multiple world record holding powerlifter, she is also an exercise physiologist and doctor of physical therapy.

In Olympic Weightlifting Stefi was the Florida senior state gold medalist (2015). Illinois senior state gold medalist and record holder (2015). In Powerlifting Stefi is the current all-time world record holder in squat, deadlift and total, she has 11 total all time world records so far in her career and is the #1 123lb Powerlifter in the world. Prior to strength sports Stefi was an accomplished D1 soccer player, she was also a member of the U17 Venezuelan National Soccer Team 2006-09.

Hayden Bowe

Co-owner, Head Coach, Elite Powerlifter & Weightlifter. Hayden is the mastermind behind numerous training programs. Learning from him is success guaranteed! 

 Some of his personal achievements in Olympic weightlifting include being junior national bronze medalist (2012), multiple-time junior/senior provincial champion and medalist, Canadian senior national competitor 2012 and 2013 (all in the 77kg weight class). 

Hayden is also an NCCP Level 1 Weightlifting Coach. In Powerlifting Hayden won a Silver Medal at the WPC World Championship in Porto, Portugal (2015) a Gold Medal at Boss of Bosses 3 (2016), and currently holds the USPA Florida State open squat record (raw w/wraps) in the 82.5KG weight class.

In addition to the Hybrid Virtual Gym platform Hayden is also an owner of the Hybrid Performance Method Gym, along with Stefi Cohen. The HPM Gym is an elite strength sport facility located in Miami which is home to the strongest lifters in the South.

Kandace Hudspeth, CMO

Kandace is a lifelong fitness enthusiast and career brand strategist. She brings over 20 years experience leading brand strategy, innovation, and product development for some of the largest brands and some of the best ad agencies in the world. Before coming to HYBRID Kandace was CMO of OPEX Fitness, VP of Marketing & Brand Innovation at Bodybuilding.com, and Chief Digital Strategy Officer at Mccann New York.

 

 

Ian Kaplan, CTO

Dr. Ian Kaplan DC brings a wealth of evidence-based knowledge and extensive practical coaching expertise to the table, helping team HYBRID members across the board succeed. Strength is a science, and Ian makes sure HYBRID leads the pack when it comes to keeping up with research.

 

 

 

 

Bekah Fay, Director of Education

Bekah is a practicing physical therapist with a passion for educating others. Her strength journey started at the early age of ten years old when she began lifting weights in the small community gym owned by her parents (conveniently located in her backyard). Throughout the years, Bekah honed her skills as an athlete and coach in powerlifting, CrossFit, and rugby. After earning her B.S. at Cornell University, she graduated with her DPT from the University of Miami in 2019. She now uses her knowledge and practical experience with clients and patients to create no-B.S. content for HYBRID courses and educational videos. Simon Chang, Director of Training

Simon brings deep training and program design knowledge to the HYBRID Team. As the Training Director Simon oversees all HYBRID training programs, manages the collaborative design process, and ensures training members are delivered the most effective strength programs in the game. Simon is an accomplished powerlifter and well rounded athlete. He grew up in the gym, shaping his passion for fitness coaching. Simon's level of care and intuitive nature sets himself apart from the rest. He has completed high-quality work with clients across the globe. He is eager to learn and grow as he is continuously striving to be a better mentor to his clients.

Francesco Catalano, Director of Nutrition

Francesco is HYBRID’s Head Nutrition Coach. Aside from his lifelong passion for training, he has a strong passion for helping others reach their performance, fat loss and body composition goals. Working with 1,000’s of clients he’s developed a reputation as an experienced, understanding and empathetic coach, with a strong knowledge base. He keeps the nutrition team focused on each individual’s needs with an evidence based approach.

 

 

 

 

 

Mat  Fraser

HWPO Coach

Officially the Fittest Man In History, the first person to win five CrossFit Games titles, winning the 2016, 2017, 2018, 2019, and 2020 CrossFit Games consecutively. In addition, to 5-times Regional champion; North East (2014); East (2015, 2016, 2017); Central (2018).

Mat has had an incredibly impressive career, winning his fifth games in a row by the largest margin of victory in the sport’s history. Before dominating Crossfit, he was a junior national champion Olympic weightlifter.

Mat is one of the most inspirational guys we know.⁠⁠ He walks the walk when it comes to his mantra,⁠⁠ Hard Work Pays Off #HWPO. When it comes to programming, Mat is strategic, designing programs workouts thoughtfully to lay down a solid foundation of strength and work capacity.

Fernando Reis

Weightlifting Coach

Fernando is a 3-time Olympian in Weightlifting representing his home country, Brazil. He is ranked among the top 5 super-heavy-weights in the world.

Fernando brings 20 years of weightlifting experience and secrets from the legendary training halls around the world only a few ever get to see with their own eyes! Not bad for your online weightlifting coach!

Sam Petrich

Nutrition Coach

Sam is a lifelong athlete, a four time All American Softball player who turned Crossfiter after college. Samantha has an extensive background in the health sciences field with a degree in exercise physiology. Her academic background coupled with her passion to help others makes her the perfect fit to help athletes achieve their goals!

Alex Usategui

Nutrition Coach

Alex is an accomplished athlete with a passion for education. He has dedicated years developing athletes and students as a Strength and Conditioning Coach  and Professor in Exercise Physiology and Nutrition. Alex holds a Master's degree in both Exercise Science and Nutrition. He continues to stay an active competitor in both Olympic weightlifting and powerlifting.

Sean Lind

Training/Nutrition Coach

Sean is an elite level Gymnast and Crossfit athlete, qualifying for the Games in 2015. Sean coaches regional and games level Crossfit athletes as well as badass weekend warriors, in both training and nutrition. Sean is a graduate of the École de Cirque de Québec and has performed professionally as a circus acrobat. He was also a high level national Judo competitor, yep he’s our resident bodyweight strength ninja! 

Allie Jennings

Nutrition Coach

Allie is a 63kg class CPU competitor with an elite level deadlift and a national qualifying total. She is a strength coach passionate about performance nutrition and changing lives through nutrition coaching. Allie is constantly expanding her knowledge, seeking growth opportunities, and inspiring others to do the same. 

Andi Ramirez

Nutrition Coach

Andi is a former D1 college softball player who has found her new passion in coaching the next generation. With a degree in exercise science, she's all about staying active and found a new love in the sport Crossfit. She's taken her own experience with her weight loss journey as a way to relate to our clients and help them succeed.

Olivia Michaud

Nutrition Coach

Olivia is a bodybuilding wellness athlete, a competitive CrossFitter, and has a national qualifying total in Olympic weightlifting. She has been passionate about helping others achieve their goals through nutrition and training since completing her degree in Kinesiology and Health Promotion. She puts her whole heart into everything, including her clients success, and provides them with nothing but the best.
